Questions people ask

What is a credit union peer report?

A side-by-side of one credit union against a group of similar ones: the same key ratios a board or examiner looks at (capital, earnings, loan quality, growth, efficiency), with the peer median, the middle half of the peer range and a percentile rank for each.

How do I save it as a PDF?

Build the report, then use Print or Save as PDF in your browser. The print layout drops the site menu and starts the detailed sections on new pages, so it is ready for a board packet.

Which peer group should I pick?

NCUA's own asset-size group is the default, and it is what NCUA's Financial Performance Report uses. Same state and asset group is closer to your market. A custom size band (for example, within 50% of your assets) or a hand-picked list of named competitors gives the tightest comparison.

Where do the numbers come from?

NCUA's 5300 call report for Q2 2026 (quarter ended June 30, 2026). Ratios follow the Financial Performance Report formulas: year-to-date income annualized over the average of this quarter and the prior December. The efficiency ratio is the standard industry measure, since NCUA does not publish one.

Is this free? Do you keep my report?

Free with no sign-up. The report is built in your browser from public data, so nothing about which credit union you looked at is stored. The link in the address bar rebuilds the same report.
